want to own the Barossa's favourite café?
After dedicating almost four years to putting her unique stamp on Barossa institution blond coffee & store, owner Deb Murray has placed her successful business on the market and is ready to pass the baton to someone who is equally passionate about serving up quality coffee and delicious seasonal food.
"It's been a fantastic four years," says Deb, who was employed at blond prior to purchasing the Angaston-based business in 2008. "I've worked very closely with my team to build on blond's excellent reputation by providing great service and delivering outstanding food, beverages and gourmet products. Our store is stocked with a fabulous range of local and imported goods and we've added blond catering to the mix, which has proven very popular!"
Deb has also recently renovated the premises, making it perfect for the next owners to step straight into. The refurbishment took place over the last few months and has enhanced the café's charming interior. "I can honestly say that blond looks amazing now - it is chic yet has a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere and it presents a really innovative business opportunity for the right people. And, honestly, there is still so much potential," Deb adds.
With innovation 'behind the scenes' also adding value, blond has a strong financial record and enviable cash flow.
As 2011 draws to a close, Deb would like to extend her best wishes for a happy and safe New Year to all blond's suppliers and many catering clients.
"I have absolutely loved owning blond and want to thank all of our loyal customers and wonderful staff for your amazing support over the past four years," she concludes. "May blond continue to provide the Barossa community with excellent coffee and fresh, tasty food long into the future!"
